Former President Donald Trump didn’t hold back at the Al Smith charity dinner, where he aimed several sharp insults at Vice President Kamala Harris. The annual event, which is known for its light-hearted roast-style speeches, saw Trump using the opportunity to mock Harris’s political career and policies. “Kamala Harris is so far left, she’s almost back in Berkeley,” Trump quipped, referring to her hometown in California.
While Trump delivered his remarks, Harris was in Wisconsin campaigning for the upcoming elections. During her tour, she took a moment to address Trump’s comments, mockingly saying, “I didn’t know Donald was the ‘father of IVF’ – maybe that’s his next business venture after all his court dates.”
Trump’s jab about IVF referenced recent comments in which he claimed to have pioneered several medical breakthroughs during his presidency, a statement that was widely ridiculed. Harris, on the other hand, used the opportunity in Wisconsin to highlight key Democratic policies and rally supporters in the battleground state.
