Israel Expands Military Campaign Against Iran-Backed Militant Groups

Israel has intensified its military campaign against Iran-backed militant groups across the Middle East, expanding airstrikes beyond Gaza and Lebanon into Syria and Iraq. Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched a series of precision strikes targeting weapons depots, training camps, and senior militant leaders, signaling a sharp escalation in regional tensions. The move is seen as part of Israel’s broader effort to curtail Iran’s growing influence and military presence in the region.

The strikes come after a string of rocket attacks on Israeli territory, which the IDF attributed to Iran-backed groups like Hezbollah. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel will not allow Iranian proxies to establish a permanent foothold near its borders, reiterating Israel’s right to defend itself against “any and all threats.”

This military expansion has drawn criticism from international observers, with some calling for restraint to avoid a full-scale regional conflict. However, Israel remains firm in its stance that it will take any necessary actions to neutralize threats, no matter where they emerge.
